Family Yoga provides a wonderful way for children and parents to explore their bodies, hearts and minds. It also gives us the resources we need to lead happier and healthier lives.

Family Yoga aims to bring members of the family together, build positive relationships and enable parents to have “special time” with their children. Family Yoga is also a way of helping families deal with difficulties and stressful times in their lives. It is not about making poses perfect – it is about learning and having fun together.

Family Yoga can benefit children and their families in the following ways:

  • Develop physical stamina and body awareness, making children more strong and confident
  • Asanas ( yoga poses) help to tone the body and keep a good posture
  • Improve children’s sleeping and eating patterns
  • Develop an emotional balance
  • Develop creativity
  • Through breathing technique and visualization it can helps deal with school stress, exams and anxiety
  • Helps children to understand their feelings and emotions
  • Improves self-esteem and confidence
  • Improve listening and communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
  • Helps families be more understanding of each other’s needs
